Engagement Session in Seoul, Korea
This session was a special one. I've been wanting to shoot a session in Korea for a while. As I've lived most of my life in Spain and the US, Korea always felt close yet far. I've had the pleasure of visiting more and more often in the past two years and have been rediscovering my relationship with the country in a whole new way.
When my childhood friend Sochung told me that she was getting married and heard I was in town and looking for shooting possibilities, her and I had the same idea. I'd be shooting her engagement session! We wanted to incorporate modern and traditional aspects of Korea into the session so we chose the iconic modern architecture in Eewha Women's University and then changed into Hanbok (Korean traditional attire) and went to Namsan traditional village.
In the images, you might see them look effortless but we had the session in one of the hottest days of the summer (which broke records). Sochung and Wonjae killed it despite the *ahem* killer heat wave with many a water breaks running into the nearby convenience store for AC! This session was really one of my dreams come true and I can't wait for more sessions back in Korea as I take on more destination weddings in the years to come.
